The Military Order of the World Wars

About the Fort Worth Chapter

The Military Order of the World Wars was chartered in 1919 by Act of Congress.  Our first Commander In Chief was General John J. "Black Jack" Pershing.  Our mission is spelled out in our Preamble which is read at every meeting.  The Development of Youth Leadership is one of the primary goals of the Order.  Toward that end we sponsor Youth Leadership Conferences each summer for high school Juniors and Seniors at multiple locations throughout Texas and the nation.  The Order is open to all federally commissioned officers of all the services including the US Public Health Service and the National Oceanographic Administration.  We operate in some 145 chapters nationwide.  Our membership has included many Presidents of the United States including Herbert Hoover, Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman, and Ronald Regan.  The Fort Worth Chapter of MOWW meets monthly at Woodhaven Country Club.
